Dr. Mathew is a third generation NRI born, brought up and educated in Doha, who is familiar with the socio-economic and lifestyle effects of the people in this region for the past 40yrs. Pursuing his medical graduation and residency from the prestigious and world-renowned Kasturba Medical College under Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Karnataka, India, one among the few Universities affiliated to the British Medical Council and his Masters in Internal Medicine from the esteemed Rajah Muthaiah Medical College at Annamalai University, Chennai, India. He has over 15 years of clinical experience in the vast field of Internal Medicine and its sub-specialties. He has worked with prestigious hospitals such as Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut, India; the hospital responsible for the containment of the contagious NIPHA virus outbreak in Kerala. He has also worked as a Consultant and The Unit Head of The Department of Medicine in esteemed institutions such as The Thiruvalla Medical Mission Hospital; He was the Chief Consultant and the H.O.D of Nephrology and C.C.U In-charge at The Sovereign Gems Hospital and The Century Hospital. He has undergone specialty training in Nephrology from Apollo Hospital, Chennai and Advanced Neurology from The National Institute of Mental health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS). He has been trained in the Division of Cardiology from R.M.M.C.H and was the post-graduate in-charge of the department during his tenure. He has various paper presentation and awards to his credit. He is also the Life member of Indian Medical Association and the Association of Physicians of India. He has been working with Al Safa Polyclinic since 2010 as a Specialist in Internal medicine, handling all Cardiac Emergencies and Endocrine disorders including management of lifestyle disorders like Diabetes and Hypertension. He has also been entrusted the responsibility of Head of Clinical Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Al Safa Polyclinic.
